Assisting Make-a-Wish Colorado
What were we contracted to do?
Jeff Kerbs, head of Make-a-Wish Colorado Fundraising reached out to us about creating some content around the “Wheels and Wishes” event. It was a poker run, car show, and fundraiser for Make-a-Wish in Colorado Springs, CO. Jeff wanted us to create content to help promote the event, capture it, and post-promote the event.
We set forth a plan to include them in one of our video blogs for the promotion part and captured the event in both photo and video, which were used for post-event promotion. The car owners were exceptionally excited for the photos that they were able to get post event.
What was our approach?
Pre-Production
We knew we had 4 bespoke pieces of content that needed to be created. The first was a hype video, the second was a recap video, the third was photographs of all attendee vehicles, and the fourth was a website to distribute the photographs to the vehicle owners.
We worked with the executive team at Make-a-Wish and The Vault, a high-end vehicle storage company, to arrange for a shoot 3 weeks before the event for the video blog. This entailed interviewing all of the players involved, getting a tour, and then throwing our own creative spin on everything. On the day of the event, we arrived an hour before the start time, and got to work, we had 2 hours to get coverage of the event before we on a cruise for moving shots and finished at the Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs.
Within 2 weeks we delivered our final product.
How did we do?
For months we received messages from Jeff sharing positive messages about the photos, how the organization had received higher than expects funds from the event, and that they appreciated our hard work.
